My name is Liz and i’m a photographer. I went to school for photography and i’ve been shooting photos for more than 10 years. When it comes to art forms, photography will always be my first love, but I wanted to branch out and try new things. I started drawing and trying out forms of digital design. Somewhere along the way I became enthralled with enamel pins. An enamel pin was this little element of design that I could hold in my palm, wear on a jacket, or affix to my backpack. I started researching how to design and manufacture pins, and that’s how Snarky Co. began.

Well, according to Urban Dictionary – “Snarky”is used to describe speech with a specific emotional tone, typically a form of sarcasm informed by cheekiness and a mild, playful irreverence or impudence.

So why create a brand based off the word Snarky? Because I was always the kid that was sarcastic, witty, full of opinions and attitude – I was a snarky little thing. I remember that I was often told  to “act like a lady”. I will never understand what that phrase means, and you shouldn’t either, because it’s sexist and stupid. A lady is whatever you damn want it to be. I’m still pretty cheeky and I don’t have plans to stop, so you’ll find that Snarky Co is sprinkled with curse words, puns, and some “in the gutter” thinking.

I’ve designed a line of snarky, cheeky, and witty enamel pins to satisfy all your tongue in cheek desires. While I’ve started with just pins and stickers, eventually you’ll find that Snarky Co. will branch into photographic and illustrated prints,  t-shirts, and possibly patches.
